My Healing Journey
My introduction to Healing Touch began in 2011 when I was preparing to volunteer at a hospice program. The hospice was beginning to offer Healing Touch sessions to clients, and volunteers were required to complete Healing Touch Level 1. I entered the 2 day course with curiosity and a healthy degree of skepticism. What surprised me most was not only the deep sense of calm I experienced receiving the work, but also the calm I felt while practicing it with others. Something about the experience felt grounding, restorative, and deeply human.
I left the course inspired to continue learning. What began as volunteer training gradually became an important part of my own healing journey. Over the following three years, I continued through the Healing Touch Program, drawn not only to the practice itself, but also to the opportunity for personal growth, self-reflection, and healing.
Healing Touch became more than a technique for me. It became a way of slowing down, reconnecting with myself, an creating space for healing - both for myself and others.
Outside of my practice, I am someone who feels most grounded in simple, meaningful moments - walking with my dog, spending time with family, and enjoying live music, arts and community events. How Healing Touch Heals
Think of your body as a complex system with an energy field that surrounds and penetrates it. When this energy field is balanced you feel vital, focused, and at ease. However, stress, trauma, or emotional distress can disrupt this balance leading to physical, emotional, or mental health issues.
The Healing Touch Practitioner balances the body’s energy centers (chakras) and energy fields (aura) using gentle touch with heart intention. Healing touch can help you heal physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
Over the years, I've also come to appreciate how calming touch, safe human presence, can settle the nervous system in profound ways. Clients often describe feeling deeply relaxed, lighter emotionally, or more connected to themselves following a session. Some experience Healing Touch through a spiritual or energetic lens, while others simply notice a deep sense of calm.
